I have been feeding my dogs a raw diet going on 25 years. I have read over and over again that garlic can cause severe toxicity and is a big no-no and yet you promote it "as good as it gets". Can you please explain?
Yes, excessive amounts of garlic can lead to Heinz Body Anemia in dogs and cats, so it's important to start out with a small amount to make sure the pet is not sensitive to garlic. The most notable symptoms of Heinz Body Anemia are pale or grayish gums and lethargy. If any of these symptoms are noticed, stopping the garlic immediately will diminish these symptoms, and the dog or cat will fairly quickly return to their normal state of health.
