Just got a new dog, have already been feeding a dog the barf diet. The newby is 11mons old, I feed my 3yo by weight. The question is if the puppy needs more food? I know on a regular dog diet people feed their young pups more food.
Congratulations on your new puppy. You will need to feed your puppy 2-3% of its predicted adult weight. Guidelines generally say feed 2 times daily after 6 months of age. Be sure to give a nice meaty bone every day. Its perfect for the teeth and will really cut down on chewing.
Please feel free to join my newest Facebook page 'Raw Dog Think Like a Coyote,' for more fun tips for barf and new puppy training. I'd look forward to seeing your journey if you post pics and status of how your pups are doing. Best of luck to you. I am so happy to hear you are supporting them on a raw diet. I don't think you'll ever be sorry.
Have a great day.
