Shih Tzu and raw bones

I have a Shih Tzu and he just doesn't care for raw bones. He's just not interested. Is there anything I can do beside the raw bones? Is he going to be missing out on nutrition that he needs? Is it more for his teeth? Are there supplements I can give him? He is allergic to poultry also. Chicken, duck, turkey.
