so i have 1 bitch and 1 dog. i have been feeding the barf diet for nearly 2 months now. my bitch has adjusted just fine and she is 9 this year but my dog age, started vomiting yellow foamy bile & grass a few days ago and also is put of his food completely. He is still drinking water and going to the toilet fine. Has anyone else experienced this. I do intend on going to the vets, but i live very rural so after someadvice before i make the 60 mile trip. Thanks.

aunz86, have you taken your dog to the vet? If so, what did the vet say? I hope your dog is doing well!

I had a similar experience. My 11 y.o dog was switched to BARF diet about 3 mos. ago and was doing remarkably well. His skin problems cleared up miraculously. Then a couple of weeks ago he started vomiting yellow bile and was really straining to go to bathroom, although peeing was fine. Then he stopped eating and drinking water. Turned out he was severely constipated (even though I had been feeding him mashed up greens, vegetables, and fruit). He needed to be hospitalized and had a non-surgical procedure to gently remove the blockage which seemed to be rock hard with some pieces of bone inside. I'm now trying to figure out whether to switch to bone meal or purchase a meat grinder that can pulverize the bones from the raw meat.
